GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team split a four game series with Georgetown (Ky.) College over the weekend at Tiger Field.

Georgetown (15-22, 6-12 in the Mid-South Conference) won both games on Friday, sweeping the Blue Raiders by scores of 6-3 and 7-1.
Lindsey Wilson freshman outfielder Kim Guy and junior first baseman Jill Diesel each contributed three hits in the doubleheader. Diesel also added a pair of runs batted in in the losses.

Lindsey Wilson (13-21, 7-13) turned the table on the Lady Tigers in Saturday's doubleheader.

Lindsey Wilson pounded out 22 hits in the doubleheader to beat Georgetown 5-2 and 11-5 to split the season series.

Lindsey Wilson senior catcher Amy Rice collected seven hits in nine at bats in the two games and drove in five Blue Raider runs -- all in the second game of the doubleheader.

Sophomore Kasey LaDuke and freshman Leigh Ann Moore each collected a win.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5:30 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 19, as the Blue Raiders host Spalding (Ky.) University at Joe Johnson Little League Complex.
