PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team lost 6-4 to Georgetown (Ky.) College in the opening round of the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament today at Pikeville College Field.
Freshman Kim Guy, junior Jill Diesel, and senior Whitney Reynolds each contributed two hits with a double atop the Blue Raider lineup.
Sophomore Kasey LaDuke took the loss with six runs on seven hits over six innings pitched.
The No. 4 seed Blue Raiders (16-25) fall into the loser's bracket of the double elimination tournament.
Fifth-seeded Georgetown moves into the semifinals of the winner's bracket and will play top seed and regular season champion Campbellsville (Ky.) University at 7 p.m. CT tonight.
