Box Score 4 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team won two out of four games over the weekend against conference foe Georgetown (Ky.) College at Joe Johnson Complex.
Georgetown won the first game on Friday 6-5 after pushing across one run in the seventh inning. The Tigers held a 4-0 lead in the fourth inning before a late Lindsey Wilson charge tied the game at 5-5 in the sixth inning.

Jill Diesel was 1-for-1 from the plate with a two-run home run and two walks. Whitney Frazier was 2-for-2 with a solo home run. Senior
Leigh Oakley was credited with the loss in relief. She allowed one run on three hits in one inning of work.
Lindsey Wilson bounced back in the Friday nightcap with a 7-6 win in eight innings. The Tigers led 5-1 before a four run sixth inning barrage from the Blue Raiders tied it at 5-5. After each team scored one run in the seventh inning, Lindsey Wilson scored the game winner in the bottom of the eighth.

Bonnie Rooney each collected two hits in the win. Oakley was the winning pitcher as she gave up one run on two hits in two innings of work.
On Saturday, Georgetown used a six run sixth inning to wipe out a 5-2 Lindsey Wilson advantage to win 8-6. Georgetown outhit Lindsey Wilson 16-10.
Diesel was 4-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored. Rooney was 2-for-3 with one run batted in. Junior Daniel Clark picked up the loss giving up seven runs on 13 hits in 5-1/3 innings pitched.
The Blue Raiders rebounded with a 5-1 victory in the second game to earn the weekend split. Lindsey Wilson scored two runs in the fourth and three more in the sixth to gain the 5-0 lead. The Tigers scored their lone run in the seventh inning.

Amanda Jolley pinch-hit and connected on a two-run home run to fuel the Lindsey Wilson win. Bertram, junior
Ginny Long and sophomore
Kim Guy all had two hits for the Blue Raiders. Sophomore Leigh Ann Moore pitched a complete game scattering four hits and striking out nine Tigers.
Lindsey Wilson is now 14-12 this season and 4-4 in the Mid-South Conference. Georgetown is 15-11 and 5-3 in conference play.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 5 p.m. CT on Wednesday, March 29, as the Blue Raiders play Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky.
