Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team limited visiting Union (Ky.) College to one hit in two games for a doubleheader sweep on Tuesday at Joe Johnson Complex.
The Blue Raiders opened the day with a 10-0 mercy rule win over the Bulldogs (5-13). Junior Danielle Clark was the winning pitcher, limiting the Bulldogs to one hit and one walk over the five inning game.Lindsey Wilson (5-7) scored 10 runs as nine different Blue Raiders collected hits. Jill Diesel collected extra base hits in the win.
In game two, Lindsey Wilson won via mercy rule 8-0 behind a combined no-hitter by sophomores Leigh Ann Moore and
Ashlee Oliver. Moore collected the win in four innings pitched with nine strikeouts and three walks. Oliver pitched the final inning striking out two Bulldogs.
Most of the Blue Raider offense came in the first inning as the Blue Raiders pushed across seven runs. LWC added one more run in the third inning to give the Blue Raiders enough runs for the five inning mercy rule.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 9 a.m. CT on Sunday, March 12, as the Blue Raiders play the University of Illinois-Springfield in the Florida Spring Fling in Pensacola, Florida.
