Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team won their seventh straight today with a doubleheader sweep of visiting Brescia (Ky.) University at Joe Johnson Field.
Lindsey Wilson senior Shayla Cain -- the reigning Mid-South Conference Player of the Week -- hit her fifth home run of the season to help the Blue Raiders to a 9-2 win.
Reigning MSC Pitcher of the Week, senior Leigh Ann Moore picked up her fourth win of the season working five innings before giving way to freshman Olivia Holland.
In game two, sophomore Amelia Wright's fifth inning triple broke a 2-2 tie and helped the Blue Raiders to a 4-2 win.
Senior Danielle Clark picked up the complete game win.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on Friday, March 14, as the Blue Raiders face Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) University in a doubleheader at the Union (Tenn.) University Classic in Jackson, Tenn.
