Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team swept a doubleheader today against Midway (Ky.) College at Joe Johnson Complex.
The Blue Raiders move above .500 for the first time with season with the two wins. Lindsey Wilson is now 6-5 overall this season.
In game one, three Blue Raiders hit solo home runs and senior pitcher Danielle Clark hurled a complete game in a 4-3 win.
Seniors Shayla Cain and Lauren Miller and sophomore Brittany Dorsey hit home runs to lift the Blue Raiders to their fourth straight win.
Despite the long ball, it was a Cain suicide squeeze in bottom of the sixth that proved to be the decisive score.
Clark picked up her second win of the season and her third complete game.
In the nightcap, senior pitcher Leigh Ann Moore hurled a complete game no-hitter and Cain added a three-run home run in the 5-0 Lindsey Wilson win.
LWC freshman Michaela Howard hit her first career home run to help the Blue Raiders to the win.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 3 p.m. CT on Friday, March 7, as the Blue Raiders host University of Illinois Springfield at Joe Johnson Field.
