Georgetown, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team lost 3-0 to Pikeville (Ky.) College today in the Mid-South Conference Tournament opening round at the Georgetown College Softball Complex.
Fifth-seeded Pikeville (24-25) scored twice in the third and another in the fourth inning en route to the upset win over fourth-seeded Lindsey Wilson (29-18).
Lindsey Wilson senior pitcher Danielle Clark suffered the loss allowing three runs and eight hits in four innings of work. Clark also struck out three Pikeville batters.
The Blue Raider offense managed just three hits in the loss.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 9 a.m. CT on Friday, April 25 as the Blue Raiders face the University of the Cumberlands in the tournament's first elimination game.
