Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Sophomore pitchers Olivia Holland and Emillee Bush threw complete games to lead Lindsey Wilson to a doubleheader sweep over Taylor (Ind.) University at Joe Johnson Field.
The Blue Raiders won the first game 3-1 behind Holland's (2-4) dominating performance. She only allowed three hits and one unearned run over seven innings of work.
Lindsey Wilson (5-7) jumped out early as outfielder Megan Huckaby laid down a perfect squeeze bunt and catcher Whitney Mink scored from third base to give the Blue Raiders a 1-0 lead.
The Blue Raiders tacked on two more runs in the fifth inning on three Taylor (0-2) errors and that was all Holland needed to complete the 3-1 victory.
In game two, Bush (3-1) allowed only two runs over seven innings while striking out four leading the Blue Raiders to the 6-2 victory.
Second baseman Brittany Dorsey led the charge from the lead-off spot collecting three hits including, two doubles and scored two of the Blue Raiders six runs.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 4, as the Blue Raiders travel to West Virginia University Institute of Technology.
