Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team fell 1-0 to top-seeded Campbellsville (Ky.) University today in the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament at Tiger Stadium.
The Blue Raiders (26-18) fall into the loser's bracket to face host and No. 2-seed Georgetown (Ky.) College at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 25. Lindsey Wilson beat Georgetown 5-2 earlier in the day to send the Tigers into the loser's bracket.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore pitcher Olivia Holland allowed just a first-inning run to suffer the hard-luck loss. Holland scattered eight hits in her complete-game effort.
Campbellsville pitcher Allison Horton limited the Blue Raiders to just four hits in the complete-game shutout.
Horton struck out 10 Lindsey Wilson hitters without allowing a walk.
Lady Tiger designated player Erika Creek drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the first inning. That would be all Horton and the Lady Tigers would need.
Campbellsville advances to the tournament finals scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 25 while Lindsey Wilson falls into the loser's bracket finals.
