Box Score 2 COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College softball team dropped a doubleheader against Campbellsville (Ky.)University today at Joe Johnson Field.
In game one, Campbellsville (29-5-1, 13-1-1 in the Mid-South Conference) shutout Lindsey Wilson 4-0 allowing the Blue Raiders only two hits.
Sophomore pitcher Olivia Holland (6-10) received the loss giving up four runs -- three earned -- over seven innings. The Blue Raiders offense could only muster a couple hits off of Campbellsville pitcher Allison Horton. Horton struck out seven.
In game two, Lindsey Wilson (18-15, 9-9) struggled from the beginning as the Tigers scored eight times in the first two innings en route to a 9-0 win in five innings.
Sophomore pitcher Emillee Bush (7-3) could not get out of the first inning allowing six earned runs in 2/3 innings pitched. Lindsey Bridges picked up a pair of hits for Lindsey Wilson as the Blue Raiders could only muster four hits.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 9, against St. Catharine (Ky.) College at Joe Johnson Field.
