Box Score 2 ST. CATHARINE, Ky. -- Jordan Gilland and Ally Goniea each hit home runs and tallied an RBI as the Lindsey Wilson College softball team topped St. Catharine (Ky.) College 7-2 in game one on Saturday.
The Blue Raiders completed the sweet with a 3-1 win in game two as first baseman Kelly McCarty jumpstarted the offense with a home run in her first at bat of the game.
Goniea finished the opener batting 2-for-4, while Gilland went 2-for-2 at the plate. McCarty also hit solidly in game one, finishing 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI.
Morgan Paschall went the distance in the circle, throwing 7.0 innings while scattering six hits and allowing just two earned runs with five strikeouts.
McCarty finished game two going 1-for-3 at the plate with her home run, while center fielder Emily Carnes went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk in the win.
Anyibell Ramirez also threw a complete game for Lindsey Wilson, allowing just three hits and no earned runs with 13 strikeouts.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 4 p.m. CT on Tuesday, April 13 against Campbellsville (Ky.) University at Lindsey Wilson Park.
