COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Kaylee Garrett went 4-for-7 from the plate with a home run and a double and Anyibell Ramirez pitched 9.2 innings in both games combined with 20 strikeouts and no earned runs with just one hit to sweep St. Catharine (Ky.) College 7-0 and 8-3 on Thursday at Lindsey Wilson Park.

Ramirez picked up the win in both games to improve to 19-3 on the season after the game-two starter, senior Morgan Paschall, came out in the third inning after walking a pair of batters.

Megan Beecham took the loss in game one to fall to 2-3, while Ashley Hardin dropped game two to fall to 4-5 on the season.

The Blue Raiders tallied 12 hits in both games, led by four hits by junior shortstop Jamie Williams and sophomore second baseman Jordan Gilland went 4-for-6 with three RBIs and two runs.

While the Patriots were shut out in the opener, their right fielder Chelcie Rein tallied an RBI and scored a run to help St. Catharine score three runs - all in the fourth inning.

Leading just 4-3 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning, Lindsey Wilson answered with three runs of its own to go up by four runs. Another run in the fifth gave the Blue Raiders its final advantage of 8-3 to push the Blue Raiders to 31-4 overall and 12-0 in the Mid-South Conference.

St. Catharine dropped to 11-18 overall and 4-18 in the MSC after tallying just four hits in both games combined.
