Box Score 2 WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior Emily Priar and freshman Chelsea Collins provided five hits each today to lead the No. 14-ranked Blue Raiders to a doubleheader sweep of University of the Cumberlands.
Priar opened the day with three hits and two RBIs in Lindsey Wilson's 8-0 win in the first game. Collins recorded three hits and scored twice while freshmen Andrea Whelan added three hits as the Blue Raiders (32-6, 11-1 in the Mid-South Conference) out-hit the host 15-1.
Freshman Jordan Hood did not allow a hit in her five innings of work en route to improving to 13-3 on the season. Junior Lauren Seibert finished the game pitching a pair of scoreless innings while allowing just one hit.
In game two, Priar and Collins continued their offensive output as each picked up two more hits. Priar drove in two more as the Blue Raiders won the nightcap 6-3.
Junior Cara Law picked up the complete game win while allowing three runs on eight hits. She struck out six en route to improving to 14-2 on the season.
Cumberlands drops to 4-22 overall and 3-8 in conference play with the losses.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, March 29 as the Blue Raiders travel to Campbellsville (Ky.) University for a MSC doubleheader.
