Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

PULASKI, Tenn. -- No. 11-ranked Lindsey Wilson softball powered its way to a pair of wins today to open the 2014 season at the Martin Methodist (Tenn.) Meltdown.

The Blue Raiders (2-0) scored 24 runs while pounding out 26 hits in wins over No. 14-ranked Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and Bryan (Tenn.).

Lindsey Wilson used a walk-off three-run home run from Amanda Trampe to beat Freed-Hardeman 12-4 in today's first game. The Blue Raiders closed the day with a five-run second and a six-run third inning en route to a 12-2 win over Bryan.

In today's first game, Madison Scott, Abbi Goedde and Travatia Bowden joined Trampe with two hits each as the Blue Raiders finished with 12 hits as a team.

Trampe finished 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run -- which ended the game in the sixth inning due to the run rule -- and four RBIs. Scott went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs and two RBIs. Goedde added a solo home run and Bailey Mize blasted a two-run homer with her lone hit in the game.

Jordan Hood (1-0) picked up the complete-game win while allowing four runs on 13 hits and striking out six Freed-Hardeman batters.

Ashley Evans led the Blue Raiders with a 3-for-3 game in Lindsey Wilson's 12-2, five-inning win over Bryan. Evans scored twice and drove in three runs in the win.

Trampe continued her stellar day by going 2-for-2 with three more RBIs in her second game as a Blue Raider. Scott and Andrea Whelan added two hits each in the win.

Due to heavy rains in Pulaski, Saturday's games have been moved to one field -- forcing an adjustment in the schedule. The Blue Raiders face Grace (Ind.) at 11 a.m. CT and Benedictine (Ill.) at 3 p.m. CT at the East Campus Softball Complex.
