Box Score 2 DECATUR, Ala. -- No. 11-ranked Lindsey Wilson softball earned a come-from-behind win and is in the middle of a suspended game on the first day of the Alabama Arctic Blast.
The Blue Raiders rallied with four runs in the sixth inning en route to a 4-3 win over Tennessee Wesleyan in the opener to improve to 5-0 on the season.
Abbi Goedde led the Blue Raider offense with a pair hits and a RBI. Lindsey Wilson finished the game with seven hits.
Casey Bryan (3-0) picked up the win in the circle allowing three runs -- two earned -- on seven hits in six innings of work. Jasmine Matchen pitched a scoreless seventh to earn her second save of the year.
Brittany Kilduff suffered the complete-game loss allowing four runs on seven hits.
Thursday's nightcap poured into Friday as Lindsey Wilson's game wtih No. 9-ranked Belhaven (Miss.) was suspended due to rains in the Decatur area in the middle of the sixth inning. Play was halted just after the Blazers pushed across a go ahead run to take a 3-2 lead.
Lindsey Wilson -- who finished with a season-low three hits in the game -- failed to score an equalizer en route to its first loss of the season.
Jordan Hood (1-1) suffered the loss allowing all three runs on three hits in six innings of work. Ginger Lonergan earned the win in relief hurling a scoreless 4-1/3 innings.
The Blue Raiders face Point (Ga.) at 2 p.m. CT and Martin Methodist (Tenn.) at 6 p.m. CT on Friday. The Arctic Blast concludes on Saturday as the Blue Raiders are scheduled for three games.
