ST. CATHARINE, Ky. -- No. 7-ranked Lindsey Wilson completed the season-series sweep of St. Catharine (Ky.) with a pair of wins today at Salt Rive Electric Field.

The Blue Raiders (35-6, 19-3 in the Mid-South) used Amanda Trampe's five RBIs and Casey Bryan's complete-game shutout to win today's opener 9-0. Jordan Hood struck out 14 Patriots (11-23, 5-13) in a 5-2 win the nightcap to secure the sweep.

Bryan allowed just two hits while striking out six in today's opener. She improved to 14-2 on the season while lowering her ERA to a team-best 1.58 this season.

Offensively, Trampe made the most of her one hit, with a grand slam in the fourth inning. Trampe -- who had a RBI sacrifice fly in the first inning -- ran her RBI total to a team-best 61 after clearing the bases in a four-run fourth to put the Blue Raiders up 9-0.

Jenna Firestein -- who scored three of Lindsey Wilson's runs in the game -- Chelsea Showers and Bailey Mize joined Trampe with a hit in the game. Lindsey Wilson benefitted from six St. Catharine errors in the game that led to five unearned runs.

Krystal Cummuse suffered the loss allowing all nine runs on just three hits.

While the Blue Raiders never trailed, game two was far from given.

Lindsey Wilson grabbed a 1-0 lead in the second inning on Abbi Goedde's eighth home run of the season. The Blue Raiders added a second run in the third as Mize's double chased home Showers, who opened the inning with a walk.

St. Catharine responded with a run in the home half of the third only to have Lindsey Wilson take a 3-1 lead in the top of the fourth. Andrea Whelan drove home the third Blue Raider run with a single that scored Firestein -- who had reached base on an error.

The Patriots once again battled back with a run in the bottom of the fourth as Tiffany Wickline produced a RBI single scoring Katie Hansgen to cut the deficit to 3-2.

That would be the final run that Hood (10-2) would surrender. She earned the complete-game win allowing two runs -- one earned -- on six hits while producing her fifth double-digit strikeout game of the season.

Sydney Fourman provided some insurance in the top of the seventh as she delivered a two-run double to push the Blue Raider lead to 5-2.

Cummuse (5-11) suffered her second loss of the day giving up three runs on eight hits in six innings of work.

With the wins, Lindsey Wilson extends its program-record winning streak to 19 games.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Friday, April 17, as the Blue Raiders travel to Cumberlands (Ky.) for a four-game weekend series in Williamsburg, Ky.
