Box Score 2 HARDEEVILLE, S.C. -- Lindsey Wilson softball split a pair of games today at the NAIA Southeastern Challenge held at the Richard Gray Sports Complex.
The No. 8 Blue Raiders won its third straight in today's opener with a 10-0, five-inning win over host South Carolina Beaufort. Lindsey Wilson closed the second day of the Challenge with its first loss of the season in a 2-0 defeat to Thomas (Ga.).
Lindsey Wilson concludes play in the Southeastern Challenge on Saturday with games against Faulkner (Ala.) and No. 10-ranked William Carey (Miss.).

Amy Rogers provided a game-high three hits while Bailey Mize, Sydney Fourman, Amanda McIver, Amber Foukes and Cassie Kooker all had two hits each as the Blue Raiders out-hit the Sand Sharks 15-2.
Foulkes blasted her first home run of the season in a three-run second inning. She finished with a team-high three RBIs.
While the Blue Raiders bats were explosive, Casey Bryan was dominant in the circle. She hurled a five-inning, complete-game shutout while surrendering just two hits. Bryan struck out four on her way to her first win of the season and 60th of her Lindsey Wilson career.
Lindsey Wilson was unable to maintain its potent offense in the second game today, falling 2-0 to Thomas.
Thomas' Lauren West held the Blue Raiders (3-1) to just three hits in a complete-game shutout effort. Taylor Slade went the distance for Lindsey Wilson, allowing two runs on six hits in her six innings of work.
Fourman, McIver and Kooker each recorded hits in the setback for the Blue Raiders.
