LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's indoor track & field team finished in sixth place at the Mid-South Conference Championships. The Blue Raiders rounded up 89 team points.
Life (Ga.) captured the title after collecting 146 total points while Cumberland (Tenn.) finished as runner-up with 137.5 total points.
In the field events today, Austin Campbell claimed third in the weight throw competition after throwing for 15.16 meters, earning six points and third-team all-conference honors.
In the track events, the Blue Raiders picked up their largest amount of points in the 1000-meter run after Nolan Foushee placed third with a time of two minutes and thirty-five point fifty-six seconds earning third-team all-conference honors and six points. Noah Brown placed just behind Foushee in fourth with a time of 2:36.63 for five points.
Foushee was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team alongside Brenden Parham, Jaylun Wallace, and Darius Willis that placed third with a time of 3:23.14 and took place in the 4x800-meter relay with Victor Clark, Mike Schonter, and Justin Stearns that placed second with a time of 8:10.61. Both relay teams earned all-conference honors in the events.
Additionally, Edwin Van Wyk finished fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.99 and seventh in the 200-meter dash crossing the line at 22.28. Wallace placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.14 while Schonter and Stearns finished eighth (2:00.96) and 10th (2:03.52), respectively.
Indoor Track & Field will return to action at NAIA Indoor Nationals in Brookings, South Dakota March 2-5.
