COLUMBIA, Ky. - The No.10-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team play their second conference match this Thursday when they travel to Campbellsville, Ky to face their rivals, the no. 25-ranked Tigers, at the Kelly Hall Tennis Complex at 1 p.m. CT.
The Blue Raiders are 8-2 overall this season and 1-0 in conference play, most recently winning 6-1 against previously No. 10- ranked William Woods (Mo.). In that match the ladies dropped the doubles point, but displayed a strong mentality by not losing any singles matches.
Two players head into this lineup with a five match winning streak, Anastassia Ivanchenko (8-2) and Mariangeles Mateu (8-2). Senior Darija Mladenovic is 5-0 playing as racket no. 4. In doubles, the partnership of Heyka Rodriguez and Mateu is on a five match winning streak. They recorded the team's only doubles win against William Woods last time out.
In the "Battle of Highway 55" head-to-head record the Blue Raiders possess absolute domination as they lead 34-2, with a 18 match winning streak. Last time both teams faced each other, the Blue Raiders took the win with a 6-1 score.
