MARION, Ind. – A quartet of the Lindsey Wilson student-athletes competed at Indiana Wesleyan University on Thursday afternoon to wrap up the Blue Raiders stay at the NAIA men's and women's Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
Justin Borden and
Mark Edmond opened the day in the long jump, placing 18th and 25th, respectively. The latter of the two recorded a leap of 6.55 meters, while Borden touched down at 7.02 meters for his seventh career effort of seven-plus meters in the outdoor event.
On the track,
Eliza Hagens turned in a time of 29:43.53 in the 5,000-meter racewalk, the second-fastest time in the event for her career, to earn 13th place overall. Then,
Jace Cowman paced a mark of 28:34.19 in the same race on the men's side to finish 20th.
The Blue Raiders' showing at this week's national championships concludes the 2023-24 track and field season.
