COLUMBIA, Ky.- Lindsey Wilson student-athlete
Michael Rempel has been named to the 2025 Mid-South Conference men's soccer Champions of Character Team, conference officials announced Wednesday.
Rempel, a senior defender from Asuncion, Paraguay earned the Champions of Character status for the second time in his career, after receiving his first honor from the conference in the 2024 season.
The Mid-South recognizes a Champions of Character Team for each championship sport. The student-athletes that are honored on the Champions of Character Team were nominated by their coaches based on their leadership on campus and in the community while demonstrating the five core character values of the NAIA.
Bethel's (Tenn.) William Agyemang Kusi, Campbellsville's (Ky.) Mark Horn, Cumberland's (Tenn.) Ruairi Behan, Cumberlands' (Ky.) Antonis Seraphides, Freed-Hardeman's (Tenn.) Jorge Martinez, and Georgetown's (Ky.) Joseph Taylor were honored with the recognition as well.
Rempel and the Blue Raiders head to No.14-ranked Bethel Wednesday night to face the Wildcats at 6 P.M. CT inside Walter Butler Stadium with a trip to the MSC tournament championship game on the line.
