COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson softball team will play its final road conference series this weekend when the Blue Raiders travel to McKenzie, Tennessee to challenge Bethel (Tenn.).
With only one week remaining in the regular season, Lindsey Wilson currently sits fourth in the Mid-South standings, two games behind (RV) Campbellsville (Ky.) in third place, and one game ahead of the Wildcats in fifth place.
Bethel comes in on a four-game losing streak, including a three-game sweep at the hands of then-fourth ranked Cumberlands (Ky.).
In conference play, Miranda Carnell is batting 0.389 with 14 hits and 10 runs batted-in. The junior infielder ranks third in the league for overall hitting percentage but is tied for 16
th with 36 hits. All three of the Wildcat pitchers have shared quality innings inside the circle for Bethel. Amelia Sherrill has tossed a team-high 10 complete games and has recorded six wins in the process. Fellow junior Kinsley Caruthers is also up to six wins on the year while leading the rotation with 38 strikeouts.

Brooklynn Becker and
Natalie Wandrie are both hitting 0.400 or better. The latter of the two drove in a team-best four runs on four hits last weekend at Campbellsville, and paced the Blue Raider offense against Bethel last season with five hits and three runs batted-in.
Kayden Murray stifled the Wildcats in three appearances a season ago. She finished with a 1.26 earned run average and 27 strikeouts in 16.2 innings pitched, including a five-inning, complete-game, no-hitter.

The two sides will meet for a doubleheader at 1 p.m. CST on Friday, April 18, then play a single game at 1 p.m. CST on Saturday, April 19.
