COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams are back in action at 2 p.m. CT today, April 8, as they host Bethel (Tenn.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex in the final scheduled home match of the regular season. The match also marks Senior Day for both Blue Raider squads.
Before the start of play, at 1:30 p.m. CT, Lindsey Wilson will honor its seniors:
German Delcanto,
Logan Engela,
Marcal Miret, and
Hans Schubert from the men's team, along with
Anastasiia Vorobiova,
Anastasiia Ivanchenko, and
Aina Domingo Bernabeu from the women's team.
The No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's team enters the contest with a 10-3 overall record and a 3-0 mark in MSC play. The Blue Raiders have won four of their last five matches, including a 4-0 sweep of Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) last week.
Bethel holds a 6-5 record this season and is coming off a 5-2 win over Freed-Hardeman. The Wildcats are unranked in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll.
Lindsey Wilson owns a 13-2 lead in the all-time series against Bethel, including a 6-1 win last season on the road.
The No. 3-ranked Blue Raider women bring an 11-2 overall record and 3-0 MSC standing into Tuesday's matchup. Lindsey Wilson most recently earned a dominant 4-0 win over Freed-Hardeman last week.
Bethel comes into the match with an 8-3 record and is ranked No. 23 nationally. The Wildcats also defeated Freed-Hardeman in their latest contest by a score of 6-1.
The Blue Raiders hold a perfect 14-0 record in the all-time series against Bethel, with the most recent meeting being a 4-0 Lindsey Wilson win in last year's MSC Tournament.
