Women’s Basketball Jumps to No.11 in Final NAIA Top-25 Poll

COLUMBIA, Ky.- The Blue Raider women's basketball team jumps to No. 11 in the Seventh NAIA Top-25 Coaches' Poll, announced league officials on Wednesday. 

Lindsey Wilson sits at 21-7 and 7-5 in Mid-South conference play. The Blue Raiders are currently on a three-game slide after falling in a heart breaker to No.3 Bethel (Tenn.) 65-62, a home loss to (RV) Georgetown (Ky.), followed by a road loss to the previously No. 21-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.). 

Dordt (Iowa) is going to hold on to the top spot with 531 points, 16 first-place votes, and a 27-1 record. MSC foes Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) and Bethel (Tenn.) stay at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively with FHU garnering 512 points and four first-place votes to the Wildcats 504 points. Marian (Ind.) stayed at No. 4 with 479 points with Campbellsville staying at No. 5 with 437 points.

Cumberlands (Ky.) fell from No. 21 to receiving 53 votes with Georgetown (Ky.) moving up in the receiving votes column with 59 votes. 

Women's hoops will be back in action on Friday at 7:30 P.M. CT to face the Cumberlands (Ky.) in the quarterfinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Bowling Green, Kentucky at the Bowling Green High School Arena.
