Women’s Basketball Sweeps MSC Coach Accolades; Tisdale & Shelton Tab First and Second Team Honors

COLUMBIA, Ky.- Lindsey Wilson Women's Basketball saw two of its players and its coaching staff earn Mid-South Conference postseason honors, the conference announced Wednesday.

Head Coach John B. Wethington and Assistant Coach Terran Duncan were recognized with prestigious coaching honors, while Meadow Tisdale was tabbed a First-Team recipient and Saniyah Shelton landed Second-Team honors. 

Coach Wethington will receive his fourth Coach of the Year honor, leading the Blue Raiders to a 21-7 record and a three seed in the MSC tournament after going 7-5 in conference play. In his 37 seasons, he ranks first on the NAIA's active all-time wins list with 735 career victories.

Assistant Coach Terran Duncan receives her first Assistant Coach of the Year accolade, having played her collegiate career at Lindsey Wilson, garnering Player of the Year in 2007. Coach Duncan sits at No. 6 in all-time scoring with 1,694 points and No. 9 all-time in career rebounds with 640 boards from 2004-08. 

Tisdale played and started in 27 games this year for the Blue Raiders, averaging a team-high 15.9 points and 7.3 rebounds per contest. The Bowling Green, Kentucky native's offensive domination was sixth-highest in the conference at the conclusion of the regular season, tallying 429 points. Tisdale also sits at No. 4 in the conference for rebounds per game with 7.3. 

Tisdale tallied a career-high 33-points on 66.6 percent shooting from the floor on January 15, when Lindsey Wilson defeated the then No. 5-ranked Lions of Freed-Hardeman in Biggers Sports Center. She also received her first MSC Offensive Player of the Week honor on December 1, 2025.

Shelton is ranked No.1 in games played and started, participating in all 28 games on the Blue Raiders' schedule this year. The sophomore out of Central City, Kentucky, holds the top spot in the conference for assists with 104 on the season and 44 in conference play, while landing at No. 5 for total rebounds, tallying 199. 

The 2025-26 Mid-South All-Conference teams are composed of 10 First-Team selections and an additional five Second-Team honorees. 

Bethel's (Tenn.) Micah Hart was named the MSC Player of the Year. Georgetown's (Ky.) Daysha Reid collected Freshman of the Year honors, while Campbellsville's (Ky.) Tyra Flowers tabbed Defensive Player of the Year. 

The Blue Raiders begin postseason play on Friday against (RV) Cumberlands (Ky.) in the first round of the MSC Tournament at 7:30 p.m. CT in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
