COLUMBIA, Ky. - The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team is ranked second in the NAIA Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the national office announced on Wednesday.
The Blue Raiders garnered 292 points and three of the 12 first-place votes in the poll. Lindsey Wilson is 9-1 this season and 3-0 in the Mid-South Conference. The Blue Raiders have won their last six matches, outscoring their opponents 40-2.
Cumberlands (Ky.) and Cumberland (Tenn.) also represent the MSC in the top 25. The Patriots earned 188 points to be slotted 12th, while the Phoenix garnered 116 points in 19th. Bethel (Tenn.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) are mentioned in the receiving votes section with 36 and nine points, respectively.
Keiser sits atop the poll with 297 points and the remaining nine first-place votes. Tennessee Wesleyan is third with 277 points, while Southeastern and William Carey (Miss.) round out the top five with 275 and 260 points, respectively.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Saturday, hosting Cumberland at 2 p.m. CT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
