COLUMBIA, Ky. - No. 16 Lindsey Wilson softball crosses the halfway point of its 10-game homestand as the Blue Raiders host Indiana Southeast at 3 and 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday, March 31.
The Grenadiers, out of the Rivers States Conference, are in the midst of a four-game losing streak. Three of those losses were determined by one run. In fact, Indiana Southeast has dropped six consecutive one-run decisions this season.
Sophomore outfielder Sofia Guy enters with hits in each of the Grenadiers' last five games. Her stat line across that stretch consists of nine RBIs on nine hits, five runs scored, two home runs, a double, and a triple. Guy's 0.797 slugging percentage is second-best in the River States among hitters with at least 50 at-bats.
In last year's two-game series against Lindsey Wilson in Indiana, Guy hit 5-for-7, including four hits and five RBIs in the Grenadiers 11-3 game one victory.
The Blue Raiders are 9-1 at home so far this year, batting 0.349 with 27 extra-base hits.
Reigning Mid-South Player of the Week
Emerson McKinnis has a team-high 15 hits at home, followed by
Kaiden Rodgers with 13, and
Atavya Fowler and
Sam Hartman with 11, each. All four boast a plus-0.400 hitting percentage on their home field.
Lindsey Wilson's pitching staff sports a 1.90 earned run average in home games.
The Blue Raiders are 13-3 all-time against Indiana Southeast dating back to 2008. Tuesday will be the first meeting in Columbia since 2021.
