COLUMBIA, Ky. - Lindsey Wilson softball earns its highest NAIA Coaches' Poll ranking in five years as the Blue Raiders climb five spots into a tie for No. 11.
Since the last poll's release on March 18, Lindsey Wilson is 9-1 with a pair of wins over formly-15th-ranked Cumberlands (Ky.). The Blue Raiders now boast a 27-3 overall record, which stands as the program's third-best through 30 games.
The poll shifted noticeably at the top, with Oregon Tech taking over the No. 1 spot, followed by No. 2 Madonna (Mich.), third-ranked Oklahoma City, No. 4 Eastern Oregon, and fifth-ranked Southern Oregon. Each of the top five teams, plus No. 6 Southeastern (Fla.) picked up first-place votes.
Cumberlands (Ky.) slipped to No. 20, while Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) continues to receive votes.
The Lions host Lindsey Wilson in Henderson, Tennessee on April 17-18.
Next up for the Blue Raiders is a conference series with Bethel (Tenn.) on April 3-4.
