COLUMBIA, Ky. - No. 11 Lindsey Wilson softball concludes its season-long homestand against Bethel (TN) on Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 4.
The Blue Raiders (27-3, 5-1 MSC) have won seven in-a-row, all at Marilyn D. Sparks Park, and are 11-1 overall at home this season. Meanwhile, the Wildcats (9-18, 2-7 MSC) have lost their last four road games and 10 of their last 11, overall.
Bethel's Riley Sharp leads the Mid-South in batting average -- 0.437 -- and ranks top-five in home runs and runs batted in. Through nine conference games, Sharp has nine RBIs on 14 hits, including four home runs.
Teammate Kalani Hernandez drove in five runs on four hits for Bethel in the Wildcats' series against Cumberland (Tenn.) last weekend. The junior is second on the team to Sharp in RBIs with 23 on the year.
Amelia Sherrill is 5-4 in 20 appearances from the circle, carrying a 3.76 earned run average.
Lindsey Wilson's
Hallie Roberts is 3-0 with a 0.35 ERA over her last three starts. Across her last 20 innings of work, she has allowed one earned run, issued just three walks, and retired 20 on strikes.
Offensively, seven different Blue Raiders have hit home runs over the last seven games.
Nora Epley and
Natalie Wandrie have two, each. The latter of the two is belting 0.474 for the homestand.
In 2025, Lindsey Wilson traveled to Bethel and won two out of three to take the series. Two years ago, the Blue Raiders and the Wildcats split a four-game series in Columbia.
