CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The Lindsey Wilson track and field teams got in one final tuneup before the NAIA National Championships at the Lee University Last Chance on Saturday at the Ray Conn Sports Complex.
Kai Avery finished eighth in the men's 110-meter hurdles, finishing with a time of 15.32.
Enric Fernandez finished second in his heat and sixth overall in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.72. The 4x400-meter relay team of
Demarcus Robertson, Avery,
Miah Chatmond, and
Jakoby Graves finished fifth with a time of 3:15.64.
Nijae McBride finished fourth in his heat in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.83. Graves and Robertson finished runner-up in their respective heats in the 200-meter. Graves posted a time of 21.79 to finish 13th overall, while Robertson finished in 22.01 in 18th.
Tyler Colvin finished third in his heat in the 1500-meter with a time of 3:59.88.
The Women's 4x400-meter relay team of
Hannah Reid,
Ta'shya Cramer,
Elaina Holliday, and
Sancia Smith earned an NAIA B standard with a time of 3:52.02 to finish fifth.
Isabel Urrutia Lemus posted a fourth-place finish in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.67. Holliday finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 5.22 meters.
Cramer posted a fifth-place finish in the 400 with a time of 57.85.
Jermani Morris and Holliday finished 15th and 16th in the 100 with times of 12.34 and 12.59, respectively. Morris finished fourth in her heat of the 200 and 18th overall with a time of 25.30.
The Blue Raiders now begin preparations for the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships, beginning on May 20 in Asheville, North Carolina.
