Box Score

CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- The top-ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer fell tonight to No. 3-ranked Lee (Tenn.) University 2-0 at the Lee Soccer Field.

The Blue Raiders (6-1-1) suffer their first loss of the season and were shut out for the first time since August 24, 2006. Lee improves to 8-1-0 on the season with its first win in eight tries over Lindsey Wilson.

Lee junior forward Tiffany Cox scored just before the half to give the Lady Flames the 1-0 lead.

Cox scored her fifth goal of the season at the 42:19 mark on an assist from freshman Mable Velarde. Cox's shot to the far post found the back of the net for the match's first score and only score in the first 45 minutes.

Both teams fired six shots in the opening half and each had two shots on frame. Lee freshman goalkeeper Kristi Koudelka stopped both LWC shots, while Lindsey Wilson sophomore goalkeeper Carrie Revlett allowed the first-half goal and recorded one save.

In the second half, Lee dominated the play. The Lady Flames out-shot the Blue Raiders 13-1 in the second stanza finding the net one additional time to extend their lead to 2-0, the eventual winning score.

Cox scored at the 55:41 mark off sophomore midfielder Marina Lima's assist for her second score of the night and sixth goal of the season.

Lee finished the match with a 19-7 shots advantage and led the shots on-goal 6-2.

Revlett -- the NAIA Women's Soccer National Defensive Player of the Week -- allowed both goals and recorded four saves. Her shutout streak ends at six games. Koudelka finished with a pair of saves to earn the shutout win.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Tuesday, September 25, as the Blue Raiders travel to Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville (Ky.) University.
