PULASKI, Tenn. -- Lindsey Wilson College junior Carnell Learmond and freshman Chris Ochieng combined for all scoring in the Blue Raider men's soccer team's 3-1 win over host Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College at the East Campus Field.

Learmond produced his third and fourth goals of the season and Ochieng added a goal and a pair of assists to help Lindsey Wilson improve to 10-2-1 on the season.

The duo hooked up in the game's fifth minute to give the Blue Raiders an early 1-0 lead as Ochieng fed Learmond for the first score.

Ochieng added to the Blue Raiders' lead in the 18th minute on an unassisted goal. The goal is Ochieng's team-leading eighth of the season.

Martin Methodist (6-3-3) cut the lead in half with an own-goal in the 25th minute. RedHawk midfielder Renato Castro kicked the ball off a Blue Raider defender into the goal to cut the lead to 2-1.

Lindsey Wilson responded as Ochieng assisted on Learmond's second goal of the night in the 43rd minute to give Lindsey Wilson a 3-1 lead heading into the half.

The Blue Raiders -- who out-shot the host RedHawks 16-7 -- had additional chances in the second half to add to the lead, but were unable to find the back of the net and settle for the 3-1 win.

Lindsey Wilson junior goalkeeper Pedro Caetano allowed the own-goal while not facing a Martin Methodist shot on goal. A pair of RedHawk goalkeepers combined to allow three goals and collect six saves.
