Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Senior forward Yolanda Hamilton completed a hat trick with three goals in the first half to lead the top ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's soccer team past West Virginia University Tech, 3-0, in the semifinals of the Mid-South Conference Tournament at Toyota Stadium.
The No. 1-seed Blue Raiders advance to the championship game at 4:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 13 against the winner of the other semifinal matchup between No. 2-seed University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) and No. 3-seed Georgetown (Ky.) College.
With senior goalkeeper Carrie Revlett out with a minor injury, the Blue Raiders still managed to complete their 15th shutout of the season behind a two-save performance from sophomore Reiko Yoshida in goal.
Lindsey Wilson has won 13 straight games and hasn't allowed a goal in nine games.
Hamilton did all the offensive work for Lindsey Wilson (17-2-1, 7-0 MSC) with goals in the 15th, 28th and 37th minutes. The senior has a team-high 20 goals on the season.
Junior Caitlin Burke, sophomore Ida Gregersen and freshman Saeda Sueki dished out the assists on Hamilton's scores.
Lindsey Wilson led the game in shots, 14-3, with nine shots on goal.
While there were limited corner kick attempts, the Blue Raiders led the Golden Bears 3-0. Lindsey Wilson was whistled for eight fouls, while West Virginia Tech (9-6-3, 4-2-1 MSC) was called for five.
