CLEVELAND, Tenn. -- Lindsey Wilson College senior Yolanda Hamilton scored the game's lone goal as the Blue Raider women's soccer team beat host Lee (Tenn.) University tonight in a battle of top-5 teams.

In what proved to be a tale of two halves, Lindsey Wilson controlled the offensive play in the opening half only to hang on in the second half to win for the eighth time in 10 (8-1-1) all-time meetings with the Lady Flames.

The No. 5-ranked Blue Raiders (4-2-0) missed on a number of chances in the first half before finally breaking through with a goal in the 40th minute. Lindsey Wilson out-shot the host 7-3 in the first 45 minutes.

Hamilton broke the scoreless tie with her second goal of the season off freshman Rebecca Bjorkvall's assist to give the Blue Raiders the 1-0 lead. The assist was Bjorkvall's team-leading fourth of the season.

The goal proved to be all that senior goalkeeper Carrie Revlett and the Blue Raider defense would need. But the defending national champions didn't go quietly.

No. 3-ranked Lee (2-2-0) turned the tables on the Blue Raiders in the second half. The Lady Flames pressured the LWC defense the entire final 45 minutes while tallying 18 second half shots -- including seven on goal.

But Revlett was equaled to the task, stopping all seven second half shots en route to her third shutout of the season and the 22nd of her career. The Shelbyville, Ky., native, finished with eight saves. Lee goalkeeper Leah Wilson allowed the goal while collecting four saves.

The win is the third straight for the Blue Raiders after beginning the season 1-2. Tonight's match was the fifth consecutive ranked opponent on the Lindsey Wilson schedule, including games against three top-10 teams.
