Box Score WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's tennis team wrapped up the Mid-South Conference regular season title on Monday with a 7-2 win over University of the Cumberlands.
Lindsey Wilson (10-4, 3-0 in the MSC) captured their seventh straight regular season title with the win. Lindsey Wilson has won 30 straight MSC regular season matches and 42 conference matches overall in a row.
The Blue Raiders last conference loss came during the 2003 season.
On Monday, the Blue Raiders won all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 heading into singles play.
The top two doubles teams each won by scores of 8-0.
In the No. 3 doubles, senior Lindsey Sheene and freshman Marina Pacifico defeated Cumberlands' Kaitlin Smith and Alissa Ellis 8-5 to secure the 3-0 lead.
Lindsey Wilson sophomore Trina Slapeka and senior Jessica Weyreuter won in the No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches without dropping a game. Freshman Slavica Milanovic and senior Agnieszka Wojtowicz each won in straight sets to help the Blue Raiders to the 6-3 win.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 15, as the Blue Raiders travel to Mars Hill (N.C.) College.
