COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The 15th ranked Lindsey Wilson College women's tennis team had little trouble in its home finale on Saturday, topping Martin Methodist (Tenn.) College 8-1 at the Lindsey Wilson Tennis Courts.

The Blue Raiders won every singles match in straight sets except for a 6-3, 6-1 loss at No. 6 singles.

Trina Slapeka and Jessica Weyreuter teamed up for an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, while Slavica Milanovic and Agnieszka Wojtowicz won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles. Marina Pacifico and Lindsey Sheene wrapped up the doubles' sweep with an 8-1 decision.

Slapeka struggled in the opening set before topping Anastasia Aleshcheva 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. The Blue Raiders got a quick win at No. 2 singles as Weyreuter rallied past Mikaela Long 6-1, 6-0.

Milanovic won by the same score (6-1, 6-0) at No. 3 singles over Fidelina Jaiune, while Wojtowicz posted a 6-0, 6-1 win against Allison Winters as the four seed. Pacifico registered the last Blue Raider victory 6-2, 6-2 against Seana Stanford at No. 5 singles.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action on April 22-24 at the Mid-South Conference Tournament in Georgetown, Ky.
