Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Indiana Tech managed to win just four games in singles and doubles play combined as the Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 win on Tuesday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raiders (9-2) technically started the match up 2-0 as the Warriors (0-7) played with just five players, forcing them to forfeit the No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles matches.
The seventh-ranked tandem of Trina Slapeka and Slavica Milanovic started things off with an 8-2 win at No. 1 against Stephanie Perez and Christina Ausler. Second seeded Diana Gerlakh and Laura Vergara wrapped up doubles play with an 8-0 win against Marisol Granados and Amanda Northup.
Gerlakh sealed the match in singles with the team's fifth point after topping Ausler 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2. Milanovic finished next with a 6-0, 6-1 showing against Ashley Benvenuti.
The top-seeded Slapeka dropped Perez 6-0, 6-1, while Vergara was a perfect 6-0, 6-0 against Granados. Anna Gaprindashvili matched her at No. 5, winning 6-0, 6-0 against Northup.
Lindsey Wilson is back on the courts at 1 p.m. CT on Wednesday against St. Catharine (Ky.) in a Mid-South Conference matchup at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
