COLUMBIA, Ky. – It's on to the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Semifinals for top-seeded Lindsey Wilson as it shut out No. 8-seed Bluefield (Va.) 5-0 on Monday at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.

The Blue Raiders (15-2) return to action at 10 a.m. CT on Friday at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex on the University of Kentucky campus in Lexington. Lindsey Wilson plays the winner between No. 5-seed Cumberlands (Ky.) and No. 4-seed Georgetown (Ky.) in the semifinals.

On Monday, Bluefield (3-11) traveled with just five players, giving Lindsey Wilson a 2-0 lead to start the match with a forfeit at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

Play began with Anna Gaprindashvili and Sarah Bernos teaming for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles against Leslie Williams and Erika Cregger, followed by another 8-0 win by Alejandra Galvis and Laura Vergara against Alison Morgan and Caitlin Allen at No. 2.

In singles action, it was Lindsey Wilson's Slavica Milanovic cruising at the top seed, beating Cregger 6-0, 6-0, while Diana Gerlakh finished off the win with a 6-0, 6-0 decision against Morgan at the third seed.
