Box Score CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The fifth-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team remained dominant in Mid-South Conference play on Tuesday, winning at Campbellsville (Ky.) 7-2.
It's the ninth straight win for the Blue Raiders (10-2, 5-0) as they lost only at No.1 doubles and No. 5 singles on the day.
Campbellsville's (4-7, 3-2 MSC) Anna Tumanyan and Haley Dallas earned an 8-5 win in the top doubles spot against Slavica Milanoic and Sarah Bernos, while the fifth-seeded Dallas also won in singles 6-4, 6-1 against Diana Gerlakh.
The other seven points went to the Blue Raiders in fairly easy fashion.
Second-seeded pair Anna Gaprindashvili and Alejandra Galvis beat Megan Charity and Jenna Sallee 8-6 and Laura Vergara and Gerlakh topped Lindy Charity and Kelsie Peckham 8-2 to give Lindsey Wilson a 2-1 lead after doubles.
Galvis impressed at the top seed in singles, overwhelming Tumanyan 6-3, 6-0, while Milanovic made quick work of Megan Charity as well 6-1, 6-1.
Vergara posted the most lopsided win of the day at No. 3, beating Lindy Charity 6-0, 6-1. The longest match was between Gaprindashvili and Sallee at No. 4 as Lindsey Wilson took the point 6-2, 4-6, 10-3.
Rocio Cardo wrapped up the match with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6 against Peckham.
Lindsey Wilson's next match is at Noon CT at home on Thursday against Milligan (Tenn.) at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
