Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson won the first five points of the day and coasted to a 7-2 win over visiting Cumberlands (Ky.) today at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The Blue Raiders (11-2, 6-0 in the Mid-South) won all three doubles points while dropping just five games combined in the three matches.
Anna Gaprindashvili and Alejandra Galvis captured the first point of the day with an 8-0 win over Erin Hart and Trinity Goodman in the No. 2 doubles match.
Laura Vergara and Diana Gerlakh quickly added to the Lindsey Wilson lead with an 8-2 win over Chanel Williams and Sydni Grimes at No. 3 doubles.
Top-seeded Slavica Milanovic and Sarah Bernos -- ranked No. 19 in the NAIA -- secured the doubles sweep with an 8-3 win over Neesha Thirumalaichelvam and Shelby Muff.
Vergara and Milanovic secured the team win with their wins in singles play.
Vergara dismissed Muff 6-0, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Milanovic closed out the team match with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Williams.
Gaprindashvili and Rocio Cardo also earned straight set wins to complete the 7-2 win.
The win is the ninth straight for the Blue Raiders and runs Lindsey Wilson's home record to 7-0 this season.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 as the Blue Raiders travel to No. 16-ranked Cumberland (Tenn.).
