MOBILE, Ala. -- Lindsey Wilson women's tennis went the distance today en route to upsetting No. 3-seed Brenau (Ga.) 5-4 in the NAIA National Tournament quarterfinals at the Mobile Tennis Center.

The sixth-seeded Blue Raiders advance to the national semifinals for the fifth time in the program's history. Lindsey Wilson meets second-seeded Auburn-Montgomery (Ala.) at 1 p.m. CT on Friday for the right to advance to Saturday's national championship match. AUM defeated unseeded Northwood (Fla.) 5-1 today.

Lindsey Wilson (19-2) took an early lead following wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches to lead 2-1 with six singles matches remaining.

Alejandra Galvis and Laura Vergara secured the first point of the day with a dominate performance in an 8-1 win over Dominika Jasova and Zalina Nazarova in the second seeded match.

Moments later, Brenau (13-5) evened the match with a win at No. 3 doubles.

Vladica Djurdjevic and Stephanie Moniz beat the Lindsey Wilson pair of Slavica Milanovic and Diana Gerlakh 8-2 to tie the team match at 1-1.

Anna Gaprindashvili and Sarah Bernos won the all-important third doubles match to give the Blue Raiders the 2-1 advantage heading into singles play. Gaprindashvili and Bernos won 8-5 over Maria Medina and Eline Nagels for the lead.

Brenau grabbed its first lead of the day with back-to-back singles wins in the top-seeded and sixth-seeded matches.

Jasova tied the team match at 2-2 with a straight sets (6-2, 6-1) win over Milanovic. Sophie van Beijnum pushed the Golden Tigers into the 3-2 lead with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Rocio Cardo in a battle of players that sat out the doubles matches.

In the back-and-forth affair, Lindsey Wilson won the next two singles matches to take a 4-3 lead.

Gerlakh battled back from a set down to beat Nagels 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the fifth-seeded match to tie the overall match at 3-3. The win was Gerlakh's 11th of the season and fifth in a row.

Galvis put the Blue Raiders back on top with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Djurdjevic in the No. 2 singles. With the win, Galvis improves to 13-3 on the season.

Brenau tied the team match at 4-4 thanks to Medina's comeback in the third-seeded match. She overcame dropping the first set to Vergara to rebound and win 5-7, 7-5, 6-2.

With the semifinals hanging on the final match of the day, it would be Gaprindashvili that would send the Blue Raiders into their first final four since 2009. Lindsey Wilson reached four straight national semifinals beginning in 2006.

Gaprindashvili -- who had already secured one point on the day in doubles -- matched Gerlakh's heroics with a come-from-behind win in the fourth-seeded match.

After losing the opening set 7-5 to Nazarova, Gaprindashvili won the final two sets 6-4, 6-3 to help the Blue Raiders win their 17th straight win of the season.

Gaprindashvili improves to 14-2 on the season with the victory and extends her winning streak in singles play to a team-best 13.

Lindsey Wilson meets AUM for the third time in the national semifinals -- all Blue Raider loses. AUM has won 12 national titles including the last two.
