GEORGETOWN, Ky. – No. 3 Lindsey Wilson women's tennis defeated University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) 5-0 and advances to the finals of the Mid-South Conference Women's Tennis Championships at Lackey Tennis Center in Georgetown.

Lindsey Wilson (14-4) swept the doubles competition 3-0 as the No. 3 doubles team of Anna Gaprindashvili and Diana Gerlakh beat Lyndsay Collette and Kaitlin Daugherty 8-0 to give the Blue Raiders an early 1-0 lead.

At No. 1 doubles, the team of Alejandra Galvis and Jessica King earned their first win as a tandem defeating Neesha Thirumalaichelvam and Erin Hart 8-1.

In the final doubles match of the day, Alicia Rodriguez and Ana Helena Pinto beat Chanel Williams and Sydni Grimes 8-3 in the No. 2 doubles spot to give Lindsey Wilson a 3-0 lead.

In singles, 30th-ranked King defeated Hart 6-0, 6-2. King improves to 11-2 on the season. The win gave the Blue Raiders a 4-0 lead with three matches still in progress.

26th-ranked Rodriguez finished next, defeating Grimes 6-0, 6-4 in the No. 3 singles position to give Lindsey Wilson a 5-0 victory and a trip to the MSC Championship finals on Saturday.

The No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches that had started did not finish because the fifth and final point was captured to end the match.

Lindsey Wilson plays for its 10th-straight MSC Tournament Championship on Saturday, April 26 at 9 a.m. CT against No. 21 Campbellsville (Ky.) University at the Lackey Tennis Center in Georgetown.
