No. 2 Women's Tennis Cruises past No. 21 Marian in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 2 Lindsey Wilson women's tennis defeated No. 21 Marian (Ind.) University 9-0 on Saturday.

Lindsey Wilson (7-4, 5-0 MSC) dominated the doubles matches, losing only four games in the three matches. The No. 3 team of Jessica King and Ana Helena Pinto won 8-0 over Anna Potter and Sarah Potter. The win takes Kind and Pinto's double record to 6-0 overall and 5-1 as the No. 3 team.

Alejandra Galvis and Alicia Rodriguez, playing No. 2 doubles, defeated Lauren Paras and Olivia Pursell 8-2 to secure the second point of the match for Lindsey Wilson. Galvis and Rodriguez are 2-0 in doubles this season.

No. 1 Lindsey Wilson doubles team of Sarah Bernos and Anna Gaprindashvili beat Brittney Horlacher and Hannah Knust 8-2 to sweep the doubles matches and take a 3-0 lead on the Knights.

Rodriguez, playing No. 3 singles, defeated Paras 6-1, 6-0 for her eighth win on the season. Rodriguez moves to 5-1 at No. 3 singles. Galvis finished next as she beat Knust 6-0, 6-0 to give the Blue Raiders a 5-0 lead and secure Lindsey Wilson's seventh win of the season.

Bernos made it 6-0 after she defeated Horlacher 6-0, 6-3 at No. 1 singles. Bernos moves to 6-5 overall and 3-1 when playing the No. 1 singles position. Gaprindashvili defeated Potter 6-5, 6-0 at No. 5 singles as she records her seventh win on the season.

King defeated Pursell 6-3, 6-2 followed by Pinto beating Grace Neathery 6-4, 6-1 to sweep the match 9-0 over Marian. King is now 7-2 when she plays the No. 4 singles position and Pinto moves to 8-0 at No. 6 singles.

Lindsey Wilson is back on the court Sunday, April 6 as they face No. 25 University of Northwestern Ohio in Indianapolis at 1 p.m. CT.
