No. 4 Women's Tennis dominant in 9-0 win over Reinhardt

WALESKA, Ga. -- No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis dominated host Reinhardt (Ga.) 9-0 today at the Boring Sports Complex.

Lindsey Wilson (3-6) lost just three games in doubles play and seven games in the singles matches today to remain unbeaten against NAIA competition this season.

Ana Helena Pinto and Anna Gaprindashvili got the Blue Raiders off to a great start with an 8-0 win over Alyssa Siebold and Ana Santiago in the third-seeded match. Henar Munoz and Fiona Curty quickly followed with an 8-1 win over Paula Puentes and Alyssa Kroll in the second-seeded match.

Alicia Rodriguez and Jessica King -- ranked second in the NAIA in doubles -- made it clean sweep with an 8-2 win over Cassie Quast and Stanislava Klymova to give Lindsey Wilson the 3-0 lead.

Pinto secured the first singles point with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Santiago in the sixth-seeded match. The win extends Pinto's winning streak to a team-high five straight matches.

Curty added the fifth and deciding point for Lindsey Wilson in the third-seeded match. She claimed a 6-1, 6-0 win over Kroll to move to 5-4 on the season.

The match continued with each of the remaining Blue Raiders scoring straight-sets wins.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 21, as the Blue Raiders travel to Martin Methodist (Tenn.) in Pulaski, Tennessee.
