Box Score BRIDGEVILLE, Ill. -- Aleksi Pahkasalo recorded his second consecutive hat trick on Sunday to help the Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team to a 5-0 win over Roosevelt (Ill.) at Toyota Park.
Pahkasalo netted three goals on Wednesday in the Blue Raiders' 5-1 win over Tennessee Wesleyan in Columbia. He continued the scoring barrage today and now has seven goals this season -- tied for second in the NAIA this season.
Caue Salgado gave the No. 9-ranked Blue Raiders a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute. His second goal of the season came off an assist from Franco Roman following a battle off a corner kick.
Serge Gomis doubled the Lindsey Wilson lead in the 29th minute off a Billal Qsiyer assist after a takeaway.
Pahkasalo scored the final three goals to help Lindsey improve to 4-1 on the season.
Pahkasalo completed the first half's scoring with a goal off Franco's assist to push the lead to 3-0. He scored in the 50th and 65th minutes -- off Salgado and Qsiyer assists -- for the 5-0 win.
Yuta Nomura recorded the shutout win with four saves.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 4 p.m. CT on Thursday, Sept. 10, as the Blue Raiders travel to McKenzie, Tennessee for a neutral-site match with Florida Memorial.
