Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. -- The third-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team won their second-straight match on Tuesday as they defeated Reinhardt (Ga.), who is receiving votes in the national poll, 8-1 on Tuesday.
The Blue Raiders (5-3) got off to a strong against the Eagles (6-3) as they won all three doubles matches.
Alex Shchipakina and Maria Prados Cid got Lindsey Wilson started with an 8-1 victory at No. 2 doubles over Alyssa Siebold and Albane Queinnac. The duo of Jessica King and Fiona Curty won 8-2 over Paula Puentes and Alyssa Kroll at No. 2 doubles.
Natalia Kattah and Henar Munoz capped off doubles play with an 8-4 victory at doubles No. 1 over Yamit Vodovaz and Stanislava Klumova.
Reinhardt got on the board at No. 3 singles as Paula Puentes won after Kattah retired from the match. Munoz started another Lindsey Wilson run as she won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 1 singles. Shchipakina clinched the match for the Blue Raiders with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 2 singles.
King won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles to give Lindsey Wilson a 6-1 lead. Over the final two matches, Prados Cid won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 singles and Gabriella Pedroza won 6-1, 6-3 at singles No. 6. The Blue Raiders secured the victory 8-1.
Lindsey Wilson is now set to face Asbury (Ky.) on Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
