Box Score COLUMBIA, Ky. – The Lindsey Wilson women's tennis team kept their perfect home record intact with a 9-0 sweep of Campbellsville (Ky.) on Tuesday evening at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex.
The No. 3-ranked Blue Raiders (8-4, 2-0 Mid-South Conference) captured all three doubles points before sweeping through the six singles matches to complete the shutout of the Tigers (2-7, 0-2 MSC), who are receiving votes in the national poll. Lindsey Wilson improves to 5-0 in home matches this season.
Alex Shchipakina and Maria Prados Cid got things started for the Blue Raiders with an 8-1 win at the third-seeded doubles match over Elizabeth Boik and Sara Coffman.
Jessica King and Fiona Curty then captured the second point with an 8-3 win over Majella Nobile and Jade Letheby at the No. 2 doubles position. After trailing 6-5, Henar Munoz and Natalia Kattah rallied to make it a clean sweep with an 8-6 win over Bolor Enkhbayar and Grace-Laura Rowe at the top doubles flight for the 3-0 lead heading into singles play.
All six Blue Raiders won their singles matches in straight sets including a perfect 6-0, 6-0 victory by Curty at the No. 4 position. Prados Cid and Gabriella Pedroza each won their matches at the No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions in a superset 8-2.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action on March 31 when the Blue Raiders head to Georgetown (Ky.).
