Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Eight different Blue Raiders scored in No. 11-ranked Lindsey Wilson men's soccer's 10-0 victory over Georgetown (Ky.) on Tuesday night at Toyota Stadium.
The Blue Raiders (6-1-0, 2-0-0 Mid-South Conference) notched season highs in goals (10), shots (32) and shots on goal (12) in the victory. It marks the second-straight contest the Blue Raiders have recorded over 20 shots in a game, posting a mark of 25 last time out against Shawnee State (Ohio).
Georgetown drops to 5-5-1 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play with the loss.
Lindsey Wilson enjoyed fluid ball movement throughout the majority of the game, building a 7-0 lead in the first 28 minutes of play.
Mutaya Mwape and Tyler Collishaw, who was making his debut in an LWC uniform, both each scored twice in the opening 45 minutes. Mwape's brace brings his season total to a team-best nine goals.
Franck Bikoya scored his second goal of the season while also adding an assist, Israel Reyna collected his first goal this season and Renan Ramos scored his first goal in a Blue Raider uniform.
Lindsey Wilson outshot the Tigers 16-1 overall and 7-1 in shots on target in the first half. The Blue Raider attack was also aided by Georgetown being reduced to 10 men after a Tiger was sent off with a red card just 13 minutes into the contest.
The second half saw Lindsey Wilson continue to dominate possession and three more Blue Raiders got on the score sheet.
After a corner kick by Karim Jouini was deflected away from the six-yard box, Spencer Moeller got in on the scoring action as he thundered home a shot for his second goal of the season. Lindsey Wilson was later awarded a penalty and Trae Wells sent the keeper the wrong way for his first score of the year to make it 9-0.
The final score came from Yuta Yamamoto off a set-piece delivery from Jaxson Paulin. Paulin curled in a free kick towards the near post where a sprinting Yamamoto dove and headed the ball on, redirecting it towards the far post for the score. It is Yamamoto's third goal of the season and Paulin's first assist.
Lindsey Wilson finished the contest outshooting Georgetown 32-2, including a 12-2 advantage in shots on goal. LWC collected 11 corner kicks compared to Georgetown's one, including nine in the second half. Starting goalkeeper William Diaz collected both saves and the clean sheet for Lindsey Wilson, the fourth shutout this season.
The Blue Raiders are back in action on Friday as they host Cumberland (Tenn.) at 7 p.m. CT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium.
