Box Score SAVANNAH, Ga. -- No. 2-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis dropped just eight games in a 9-0 sweep over fourth-ranked Brenau (Ga.) on the final day of the Southeastern Challenge hosted by SCAD Savannah.
The Blue Raiders (4-2) opened the match with a 2-0 lead after Brenau forfeited the third-seeded doubles match and the sixth-seeded singles match.
Maria Prados Cid and Natalia Kattah won 8-4 in the top doubles match while Fiona Curty and Minja Gligic won 8-0 in the second-seeded match to give the Blue Raiders the 4-0 lead.
Gligic recorded the match-winning point in the second-seeded singles match after her opponent was forced to retire. Gligic won the opening set 6-1.
Curty, Kattah, Alex Shchipakina and Jovana Peric each claimed straight-sets wins while just dropping one game each in the matches to secure the 9-0 win.
Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 25, as the Blue Raiders travel to Austin Peay State (Tenn.) in Clarksville, Tennessee.
