Box Score

COLUMBIA, Ky. -- Second-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's tennis cruised to a 9-0 win over host Cumberland (Tenn.) today at the Tommy Gray Memorial Courts.

Lindsey Wilson clinches at least a share of the Mid-South Conference regular-season title with the win. The Blue Raiders complete the regular season on Saturday at Pikeville (Ky.) with a chance to win the outright title.

The Blue Raiders (16-4, 5-0 in the MSC) claim their eighth shutout win of the season while remaining perfect against NAIA competition.

Minja Gligic and Jovana Peric shut out Marta Ferrando Pea and Sarah Edwards 8-0 in the No. 2 doubles match while Natalia Kattah and Alex Shchipakina won 8-1 over Jasmine Shankar and Trinidad Aguirre in the third-seeded match.

Fiona Curty and Maria Prados Cid secured the doubles sweep with an 8-6 win over Ainhoa Garjio Garrido and Franki Jecker in the top-seeded match.

Four of the six singles matches ended in straight sets in Lindsey Wilson's favor while another match ended in a retirement.

Shchipakina won the only match to go the distance in the top-seeded singles match. Shchipakina -- ranked 12th in the NAIA -- defeated 28th-ranked Garrido 10-6 in a third-set tiebreak.

Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 8, as the Blue Raiders travel to Pikeville.
